#iCoss tries Pinoy-Aussie serving and gets a #DomeExperience

After Saturday’s #iCossChallenge for #SexyEveryday for #VanitaPH, @IGersManila Circle of Snapshooters #iCoss members were treated to a Pinoy-Aussie dinner at Dome Café in Shangri-La Plaza Mall West Wing, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City.

Dome Café is a fusion of Aussie and Pinoy serving. They have perfectly blended the organic and biodynamic food of the Aussie cuisine with that of our sweet tasting local choices. They have their pioneer branch in Shangri-La Plaza Mall and another in Eastwood, Quezon City, though they used to have branches in Makati which are now under the blueprint of reconstruction.

IGM - #DomeExperience

#iCoss were served with Tomato Basil with Grilled Chicken and Tuna Sandwich for dinner – a perfect hearty food of both cultural dimensions. The pasta is not too intimately sugary, yet not to lousy, it has a certain level of balanced sweetness. The chicken is remarkably tender as it stands out of the serving, it modulates the satisfactory level of meat. Swear, the meat is perfect! On the onset, the tuna sandwich defines the classical taste of the oriental, taking the egg, the spread and bread. Fortunately, we had been delighted by the house favorite – the Carrot Cake. No doubt, patrons loved this sweet treat simply because of the refined carrots within the yeast. Sweetness level is so much of a heaven as it calm your buds over and over again.

Dome Café is known for their signature coffee and tea, pasta, sandwiches, grilled porkchop, beef belly, sausages, carrot cake and the infamous pumpkin soup. I’ve had the taste of Pumpkin Soup in Slovakia, this soup is somewhat bitter but what makes it special is the mixture of the blended herbs and thick soup. Though we failed to experience the pumpkin soup, you can really sense how authentic the combination is with the servings that we had. This is a must in my next visit. Not to mention, they have reasonable prices. Pasta ranges from Php 290.00 – Php 370.00, Kitchen Specialities from Php 200.00 – Php 600.00, Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Desserts ranges from Php 70.00 – Php 400.00. And yes, I forgot to mention that they offer All-Day Breakfast Meal from Php 170.00 – Php 300.00 where the sausages take the toll.

Why Dome Café? It is customary in Australia to have a dome restaurant – literally a large rounded roof or ceiling that is shaped like half of a ball where they serve coffee and tea and other delights. It is actually maintained in the inviting ambiance of the restaurant where you can feel like in a stadium covered by a roof with all this architectural warmness and lights. A cozy fit for those who want intimate celebration and / or various corporate functions.

If you want a fusion taste of Australian and Pinoy food yet bounded within your means, all you have to consider is how to have #DomeExperience – an Australian cuisine complete with roast dinners, meat pie, fish, etc – served with a blended signature coffee under the traditional Pinoy food such as rice, sandwiches, desserts and other sweet comforting taste of the oriental.

Thank you for sponsoring the dinner for #iCoss!  For reservations, please call (02) 635-9746 and look for Ms. Leng Fajardo. Dome Café Pioneer branch is located at G/F Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Shaw Blvd. corner EDSA Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City.
