What an inspiring movie about unity guys! I’ve been invited to watch the press screening of Hidden Figures at Greenbelt 3 Cinema. It’s definitely a feel good movie for anyone wanting to be uplifted, especially in today’s political climate.

We were served with their authentic Italian dishes — Tagliolini granchio, Spaghetti Piscatory, Pappardelle rage,

When Preview Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Pauline Suaco-Juan asked IGersManila to cover the Fashion X Art show at the Art Fair Philippines 2014, we undoubtedly and excitedly went and tagged along some of our active #iCoss members marking it as our second cover from the foremost fashion and lifestyle publication. The first was back in October 2013 at the Claudio Bravo: Sojourn in Manila where we had the opportunity to snap photos through a live portraiture session with muses Georgina Wilson, Liz Uy, and Bea Soriano.
The Art Fair Philippines was held on February 20-23, 2014 at the 6th and 7th floor of The Link Parkway Drive at the Ayala Center, Makati City. We went there in the afternoon of February 21, a Friday, to snap photos of the individual art forms of Rajo Laurel’s “Living Liquid”, Leeroy New’s “Chrysalis”, and Nikki Luna’s “Consume.”
Aside from us #TheMods, we were accompanied by 17 #iCoss members namely @nagaryan, @chakulit16, @ianaperalta, @jaimejim, @christofferking, @reyjohnino, @oscardelahopia, @mrjalandoni, @imalexxe, @darthmao_, @kiethwalter, @gelaramirez13, @claudsclaudio, @jodomu4u, @purplemj, @reinersmile, and @iamarjayofficial.
We are so proud that some of our #iCoss members received high praises from renowned fashion designer Rajo Laurel on their photos of his “Living Liquid”. He even included their photos in his website. Even sculptor, artist, and designer Leeroy New regram some photos of our #iCoss using his Instagram.
We have also witnessed works of well-known artists such as BenCab, Marina Cruz, Pio Abad, Ronald Ventura, and a lot more and we are looking forward to what the Art Fair Philippines will come up next.

In a press event last Thursday, Instagram founder Kevin Systrom announced Instagram Direct (available now for iOS 5.0 and Android 5.0, the Windows Phone beta version will have to wait) leveling up its photo and video sharing service to allow Instagram’ers to send photos and videos privately and exchange chat-like messages.
With the version 5.0 update, your home feed is refreshed with a new inbox icon at the top right corner, tap it to see photos and videos that people have sent to you. When posting, you now have two new options: tap on Followers to share to your followers like we’re all used to, or share to specific Instagram’ers by tapping on Direct, you can then select the names of up to 15 Instagram’ers you want to send your photo or video to, then finish up your post with a caption and send.
Once sent, you can see who checked out and liked your post, as well as watch your recipients exchanging messages in real time. Instagram’ers who follow each other can exchange messages, but for those who don’t, the message will show up as a pending request in the inbox.
Aside from Instagram Direct, the app’s UI has been slightly updated, such as the log-in pages. While we’re used to just double-tapping and commenting on a post that caught our attention, this update should make Instagram’ing a more engaging photo and video sharing experience, as it now allows you to interact directly, privately with the people you care most about.

Late last year, @IGersManila announced the creation of the collaborators group – #TheColl. This group will take an active part in this year’s projects of @IGersManila. Furthermore, #TheColl is expected to spice up and bring forth new experiences in sharing our visual stories. The IGers below heeded our call, and attended the first ever #TheColl Muster date.
More popularly known for his daily entries to Monster Radio’s The Morning Rush Top 10, Oscar or ODH (@oscardelahopia in IG) is an IT programmer by profession. His IG feed is composed of food, flowers, lights, structures, scenic views and people. Most of the time, some short stories, quotable quotes or song lyrics that matches the visual stories are incorporated in his visual stories. Jimmy (@jaimejim in IG) is a freelance graphic designer and photographer. He specializes in print design and publications. He shoots ordinary things—street scenes and people he encounters during the day; and adds a grunge treatment to it or some traditional film effect such as lightleaks, lomo or crossprocessing. His favorite apps are hipstamatic (especially the double exposure feature), snapseed, scratchcam, photoforge and picfx.
Iana (@ianaperalta in IG) is an Information Systems Auditor by heart at one of the top 4 auditing firms in the country. But her love for photography remained and grew even more when gifted with a DSLR in December 2008. From then on, photography opened her eyes to appreciate the beauty of things around her – even those small details that one would normally take for granted. She was able to capture those precious moments when in different places. Through photography, she became an avid photographer, a hearty food tripper and a zealous traveler. Iana’s love for photography continues to widen through the use of an android phone as her partner in capturing beautiful subjects. She uses various editing applications like Snapseed, PicsArt, Pixlr Express and Little Photo and her favorite subject is food.
Fleuricel (@lizlrey) believes that everything starts with a little spark. A small splurge of creativity that may bring a total circuit or cycle of ideas creating Fireworks. With that in mind, instagram became a haven of faith, passion, fun and play. As an Asst. Senior Graphic Artist in a design & large format printing company and a photographer, everyday is an art form. With instagram and her fave editing apps- snapseed & phonto, everyday is honoring God and never-ending sparks at the fingertips.
Cha (@chakulit16 in IG) is a freelance event organizer. Her smartphone comes in handy during out-of-town trips as she takes every opportunity to shoot beautiful beaches and the amazing sky. She also enjoys capturing moments of people, especially of kids. Her IG feed is about what she does and what she cherishes the most— her kids, work, hobbies and things that makes her happy. In editing her visual stories, Cha uses camera+, photo studio, pixlromatic and simply HDR.
A #JetsetterBanker who holds office at Makati but often stays there. That is how Ivan (@ivanborlongan in IG) introduces himself. You would either see him Luzon today and Visayas tomorrow. He loves to use Snapseed as his base app for editing pictures of anything interesting; mostly coming from his jetsetting adventures. From sleeping cats infront of graffiti walls, to chandeliers of rustic buildings: he is indeed a work-in-progress. He believes that “No high-megapixel device, app, filter or editing will suffice; if you don’t have the eye for angles, color and picture-worthy subject.”
A nurse by profession, Vin or @vinaranas87 in IG, is also a freelance photographer. His IG feed is filled with mostly raw and unedited shots of scenic sunrise and mesmerizing sunsets. While he appreciates unfiltered and untouched photos, he enhances his macro shots by using snapseed in his android and ios devices. Vin shares that “Instagram had really affected my daily routine, taking snapshots where ever I go and and appreciate the beauty of nature. It also helped me meeting new friends who are fond of taking snapshots with their phone.”
Den (@iammoony in IG), is working as an IT Account Specialist and at the same time, Les Mills Body Attach Instructor. His curiosity on using Instagram eventually made him addicted to posting his signature #BidaBest jumpshots on places he has been into. Framing moments and freezing time through his digital camera, and eventually his iDevices, he has a collection of beautiful beaches, street shots, natural landscapes and cityscapes. Armed with apps like snapseed, shockmypic, colorvu and photowizard, he amazes his followers with every #unsentpostcard or #IGontheRoad visual stories that he shares on IG.
