Over the weekend, if you’ve been trying to add GIF stickers to your Instagram Stories and couldn’t find it or thought something’s wrong with the app, well you’re not missing out as we thought the same. But no, Instagram’s working fine as there are no reports of downtime and you can actually find the GIF feature hidden, just swipe to the recent tab, though no stickers will ever load, trending or with any search.
Instagram ended 2017 by releasing features to make photo sharing more organized, memorable, and live/interactive: stories highlights and stories archive, the ability to follow hashtags the way you do with fellow IGers, and sending a live video via direct.
Instagram welcomed 2018 with the introduction of GIF stickers to Instagram Stories, now the photos and videos you add in your story will be even more expressive and fun or animated to look at, of course nothing too fancy but a welcome feature.
Tara, tambay tayo!
This is the usual invite we get from friends when planning to hang out after work or just spend some quality time over the weekend. There are actually a lot of new food and dining spots in the metro if you wish to relax, chill and please your appetite. If you happen to drop by the Kapitolyo area in Pasig, this part of the city has actually become one of the favorite go-to places for food trips and barkada bonding. And the latest addition to what they call the #KapitolyoEats experience is this new gastropub called TaYo, short for Tambayan sa Kapitolyo, that serves your favorite Pinoy breakfast and comfort food along with their local and imported craft beers.
IGersManila had the privilege of trying this new, hip and very instagram’able tambayan during a food instameet held on February 3 and it truly was an experience that did not disappoint.

Announced early August, we’re heeding the call for Instagram’s Worldwide Instameet 16, in its continuing theme of spreading kindness, supported by communities across cities around the world, to make this a global movement to create, share, inspire using Instagram to exchange visual stories of positivity and heartfelt messages not only in Instagram but in real life.
For IGersManila, we decided to bring back the early days of instameets, usually done in a cafe where the relaxing ambience and instagrammable interiors/exteriors make for a perfect meeting place for both friends and strangers, to talk and make quick snapshots over a cup of hot or cold coffee. And where else can you find a meetup venue that not only offers the best in coffee but has been a popular go-to place for community-driven events, COMMUNE CAFE + BAR in Makati, thanks to our good friend Rosario Juan.
Last May 2017, we were invited by SM City East Ortigas to take part in its Kid Con 2017 Summer Camp, along with other organizations, to offer a variety of creative and artistic endeavors and fun activities ideally for kids who are on school break or summer vacation.
Apple’s iPhone, with its many iterations especially camera enhancements, and through the help of creativity apps, has changed the way we snap and share our photos and videos, proving true what Chase Jarvis proclaimed as “the best camera is that one that’s with you.” And you didn’t have to be a pro to be able to capture the beauty of subjects and scenes around you, and in most situations, your iPhone will do the trick, even quick.
The photo-sharing app and the community it built that’s relatively unknown some 6 years ago is now 700 million strong. That’s no longer news, as that milestone was reached last April, what’s more notable though, are the new (and some copycat) features being rolled out faster by Instagram.
This 18th of April 2017 or #418, is IGersManila’s 6th founding anniversary. And in partnership with @ManilaBulletin’s Earth Day celebration, we’re asking you our fellow IGers to keep the good vibes rolling by sharing visual stories of your best nature experiences in and around the Philippines for a special #9pmhabit. Get the chance to have your photos published in the Earth Day edition of the Manila Bulletin newspaper.
The Ford EcoSport has started a new trend in the Philippine vehicle segment. Its trendy design became popular among ageing millennials, according to EJ Francisco, AVP for Communications, Ford Philippines . Urban driving is an ease as you can squeeze it through the busy streets of Metro Manila.
Our early morning meetup was at Ford Bonifacio Global City. We were oriented about our #ArtAppreciationDrive schedule using a white Ford EcoSport.
